As most of you know, my family and I just moved back to sunny Arizona. I have lot’s of good and some frustrating things to share in another post but for now, I want to talk about this fun and easy project I did. I went to an antique flea market while I was still in Michigan and found some really cute dish towels. I didn’t have a specific purpose in mind, just thinking they’re adorable I bought em. Well.. as I’m getting Ivy’s room together a light bulb went off and I thought these towels would be perfect put into frames and hung as part of a gallery wall. It was beyond simple and anyone could do this. I recommend measuring the image you want to appear in the frame before buying picture frames. I didn’t, but thankfully, they just barely fit….. lesson learned.
Items I used were: iron, ironing board, measuring tape, picture frames, and dish towels.
Iron the back side of your image to avoid any heat marks and such.
Fold the towel to fit the picture frame and iron the folded edges. Insert the towel and replace the backing of the frame.
VOILA! The last image is just me practicing the placement of how I’ll hang them. I’m looking for a feminine, petite banner with her name and maybe something else to tie it all together. Once I hang it all, I’ll post a picture.
P.S. If you like these towels here is the seller’s name. I’m sure you can still get them.
Now that I’ve done this once, I realized you could do this with any towel, paper, or fabric. Let me know what you think!
